Gordon Carrier is featured in SD Metro Magazine’s October/November issue in an article titled “Architect In Chief.”  Gordon gives an in-depth summary on the vision of Carrier Johnson + CULTURE and what it means to be a part of the architectural process.  According to Gordon, “Architecture is both the process and the product of planning, designing, and constructing buildings and other physical structures.  It requires the knowledge of art, science and technology, and humanity.”  He explains that the creation of meaningful architecture starts with a talented staff.  The talent at the office are driven to exceed client’s expectations by ways of collaboration and adaptation to new design technologies.  Architect Alex Gutierrez gives praise to the firm’s spirit of collaboration saying that it’s one of the joys he’s experienced from being a part of the enterprise.  Carrier Johnson + CULTURE’s “…ultimate interest is finding what is distinctive, that authentic seed we can grow into something that’s unique, beautiful, and special only to that client and nobody else.  The key is then discovering how we can manifest it in a beautiful and authentic way.”
