Tidewater Community College Joint-Use Project Featured in the Library Journal

Carrier Johnson + CULTURE’s Tidewater Community College Joint-Use Library project was recently featured as an honorable mention for New Landmark Libraries of 2015 in the Library Journal publication. The 124,000 s.f. joint-use library received recognition for its “…emphasis on light, sustainability, and community connection.”  The incorporation of natural light into the design of the building adds both sustainability features and appeal and has been awarded LEED Gold certification.  Gordon Carrier states that “it’s designed to be very open and welcoming so that the public and students alike feel like they’re free to explore.”
